We are collaborating with several forward-thinking secondary schools in Kettering who are looking to appoint motivated Science Teachers for the academic year starting September 2025. These full-time, permanent positions offer an excellent opportunity to work in well-equipped schools committed to delivering high-quality Science education and raising student outcomes.

What the Role Entails:

• Planning and delivering inspiring Science lessons across KS3 and KS4, with opportunities to teach KS5 (A-Level) for experienced candidates, specialising in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or Combined Science

• Creating lessons that engage learners through practical experiments, real-world applications, and interactive teaching methods

• Differentiating instruction to meet the needs of students of varying abilities, including those with SEN and EAL

• Assessing, tracking, and reporting on student progress, providing constructive feedback to support achievement

• Leading or supporting extracurricular STEM activities such as Science clubs, competitions, STEM fairs, and field trips

• Collaborating with the Science department and wider school staff to develop schemes of work, resources, and cross-curricular projects

• Contributing to whole-school initiatives aimed at improving teaching and learning standards

Who We Are Looking For:

• Qualified teacher status (QTS/QTLS or equivalent) with a strong Science background

• Excellent knowledge of the secondary Science curriculum and current exam specifications (GCSE and A-Level)

• Proven ability to deliver engaging lessons that develop critical thinking and practical skills

• Confident behaviour management skills and the ability to foster a positive learning environment

• Commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice

• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team

• Experience or interest in promoting STEM careers and outreach activities is a plus

Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are warmly welcomed and will benefit from a comprehensive induction and mentoring programme to support their development.
