Science Teacher

Location: Daventry, Northamptonshire
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full-Time - Long-Term or Permanent
Salary: MPS/UPS - Competitive, based on experience

We are working with a number of secondary schools in Daventry who are looking to appoint enthusiastic and knowledgeable Science Teachers for the academic year starting September 2025. These schools offer a welcoming and supportive environment where teaching staff are encouraged to inspire students and help them develop a strong foundation in scientific knowledge and skills.

As a Science Teacher, you will be delivering engaging lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, covering a range of science subjects and preparing students for their GCSEs. Experienced teachers may also have the chance to teach A-Level science modules, depending on the school.

• Plan and deliver lessons in line with the science curriculum, ensuring all students are supported and challenged

• Develop students' understanding of scientific concepts through practical activities and clear explanations

• Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to aid improvement

• Maintain positive classroom management to create a safe and productive learning environment

• Collaborate with colleagues to develop teaching materials and share best practices

• Communicate effectively with parents and carers to support student learning and behaviour where needed

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent qualification

• Strong subject knowledge in science and understanding of curriculum requirements

• Effective classroom management and organisation skills

• Commitment to supporting all students, including those with additional learning needs

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
