A well-regarded 11–18 school in Preston is looking to appoint a Science ECT (any specialism) from January 2026 to join a large, friendly and well-resourced Science department.
The Role
You’ll teach KS3 and KS4 Science using structured schemes of work that emphasise core concepts, practical enquiry and spaced retrieval. ECTs are gradually introduced to practical demonstrations with strong technician support, ensuring lessons run smoothly and safely.
School Environment
The school is recognised for its strong safeguarding culture, excellent pastoral systems and behaviour that allows new teachers to settle quickly. The Science building features refurbished labs, central prep rooms, safe storage and breakout areas for group work or targeted intervention.
