We are seeking to appoint a passionate Science Technician and First Aid Coordinator to join our flourishing Science Department to support and maintain the laboratory, preparation room, equipment and consumables.  The post-holder will possess sound knowledge and experience in a science-based work environment AND coordinate our first aid provision.

You will:

• have the ability to solve straightforward problems
• be able to exchange information with pupils, teachers and other technicians
• use hand-eye co-ordination and dexterity in the preparation of materials or use of equipment
• work from instructions, but makes minor decisions involving the use of initiative
• report problems to a line manager. Little close supervision is necessary beyond that provided by working arrangements and methods.
• be responsible for careful use of expensive equipment
• keep basic financial records 
• ensure adequate first aid supplies, arrange training for staff, liaise with trip leaders to provide medical information, provide first aid for students and arrange staff first aid rota.
