Key Responsibilities:

• Managing the end-to-end sea import process, from booking and documentation to customs clearance and delivery.
• Liaising effectively with shipping lines, overseas agents, hauliers, and customers to ensure smooth operations.
• Preparing and processing all necessary documentation, including Bills of Lading, customs entries, and delivery orders.
• Handling customs clearance procedures and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
• Proactively communicating with clients regarding shipment status and resolving any issues promptly.
• Monitoring and tracking shipments, providing updates and troubleshooting delays.
• Maintaining accurate records and ensuring data integrity within the company's systems.
• Negotiating rates with carriers and suppliers to secure competitive pricing.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience as a Sea Import Operator within a freight forwarding company.
• In-depth knowledge of sea freight procedures, documentation, and customs regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships.
• Proficient in relevant freight forwarding software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Highly organised with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Proactive problem-solver with a strong customer service focus.
