Protocol Education is seeking enthusiastic and proactive Cover Supervisors to work within secondary schools throughout Calderdale. We are looking for individuals who can confidently lead classes, maintain excellent standards of behaviour, and positively influence students' learning experiences.

This role is ideal for graduates, aspiring teachers, experienced Teaching Assistants, sports coaches, youth workers, and individuals with transferable skills who are looking to build a career within education.

The Role:

Deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of teaching staff.
Maintain a calm, focused, and engaging classroom environment.
Uphold school behaviour policies and expectations.
Support students to complete learning activities successfully.
Provide feedback to teaching staff following lessons.

Essential Criteria:

Experience working with secondary-age students or young people.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong behaviour management abilities.
Professional, punctual, and adaptable approach.
An Enhanced DBS Certificate on the DBS Update Service is a mandatory requirement. Due to safeguarding regulations, applicants must hold a current Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service before being considered for school placements.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
