Secondary EAL Co-Ordinator

Exclusive Education is currently recruiting an EAL Coordinator for a welcoming secondary school in Trafford. This full-time, temp-to-perm opportunity is ideal for an experienced teacher, EAL specialist, or education professional with a passion for supporting students who speak English as an Additional Language.

Working across Key Stages 3 and 4, you will lead the school's EAL provision, support students with language acquisition, and work closely with staff to ensure all learners can access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities of an EAL Coordinator:

* Lead and coordinate EAL provision across the school

* Assess students' English language needs and monitor progress

* Deliver targeted interventions and small group support for EAL learners

* Work with teaching staff to develop inclusive classroom strategies

* Support the academic, social and emotional development of EAL students

* Liaise with parents, carers and external agencies where required

You will need:

* Experience supporting EAL students within a secondary school setting

* Strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills

* Knowledge of strategies that support language acquisition and inclusion

* A passion for helping students overcome language barriers and achieve success

* Eligible to work in the UK

* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
