Salary: $86,601 – $124,725 per annum + super (commensurate with experience)

Talent Focus is partnering with a growing Catholic secondary school in the Lockyer Valley to recruit a passionate and skilled teacher. Plainland is a charming rural locality nestled in the Lockyer Valley Region of Queensland, Australia. Located approximately 75 km west of Brisbane along the Warrego Highway, Plainland offers a tranquil lifestyle with easy access to urban amenities.This innovative school fosters a student-centred learning environment enriched through Catholic values, Franciscan spirituality, and a focus on integral ecology.

As a teacher, you will:

• Create a nurturing, learner-focused, and ordered classroom environment aligned with curriculum policies and practices.
• Collaboratively develop and implement high-quality curriculum programs; assess student progress and report outcomes to students, parents, and the community.
• Work closely with the leadership team, teachers, and staff to contribute to the professional life of the school and foster a positive school culture.
• Engage proactively in professional learning to enhance student outcomes.
• Support the pastoral care, spiritual, and moral development of students.
• Ensure the teachings and values of the Catholic Church form a foundation for learning and teaching.

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

• A 3-year Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject, plus a 1-year PGCE or equivalent teacher training program to gain Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Previous classroom experience preferred, ideally with exposure to secondary students across a range of year levels.
• Ability to teach Mathematics across secondary years
• Expertise in designing and delivering effective curriculum programs aligned with the Australian Curriculum and Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.
• A commitment to creating a supportive, learner-focused classroom environment.
• The ability to engage effectively with colleagues, students, and parents/carers to achieve the best outcomes.
• A passion for supporting students’ spiritual and moral development.

• Current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers.
