Teach Ltd is currently recruiting for a Secondary School Office Administrator to join a welcoming school in the South Norfolk area.
This is a full-on and varied role where no two days are necessarily the same. We are looking for someone who is approachable, organised and confident dealing with pupils, parents, staff and visitors, while remaining calm and professional during busy periods.
The Role
As a Secondary School Office Administrator, you will play an important role in the smooth running of the school office. Duties may include:
* Welcoming pupils, parents, staff and visitors to the school
* Managing the school reception and acting as the first point of contact
* Answering telephone calls and responding to emails
* Dealing with parent and pupil enquiries in a friendly and professional manner
* Supporting attendance administration and following up pupil absences
* Maintaining accurate pupil records and school databases
* Preparing letters, correspondence and general documentation
* Supporting admissions and pupil information
* Managing appointments, meetings and room bookings
* Providing administrative support to the Senior Leadership Team
* Using Microsoft Office and school management systems
* Handling confidential and sensitive information appropriately
* Carrying out general office duties and helping the wider school team as required
About You

* Able to remain calm and professional in a busy environment
* Comfortable multitasking and prioritising competing demands
* A team player who is also confident working independently
* Professional when dealing with confidential and sensitive information
* IT literate, with good Microsoft Office skills
* Flexible and willing to get stuck in and help wherever needed
Previous experience within a school or education setting would be advantageous, but strong administration, reception or customer-facing experience will also be considered.
