Position: Secondary SEN Teacher

Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: MPS/UPS + SEN Allowance (dependent on experience)

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Secondary SEN Teacher to join our specialist SEN school in Haringey. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced educator who is passionate about working with students with special educational needs and wants to make a significant impact in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons tailored to the individual needs of students with SEN.


• Support students in both one-to-one and small group settings, helping them to overcome barriers to learning.


• Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with the SENCO and other professionals.


• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel valued, supported, and motivated.


• Work closely with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure holistic support for students' academic, social, and emotional needs.


• Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching methods and interventions as needed.


• Collaborate with other teachers and support staff to ensure a cohesive approach to SEN provision across the school.

Who We’re Looking For:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.


• Experience teaching students with special educational needs, ideally in a secondary school setting.


• Strong understanding of SEN strategies and the ability to differentiate learning to meet individual needs.


• A patient, proactive, and empathetic approach to working with students with diverse needs.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.


• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
