We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Religious Education & Geography Teacher to join a supportive secondary school in Hemel Hempstead from September 2026. This is a full-time position teaching Religious Education and Geography across Key Stages 3 and 4.
The successful candidate will be a passionate and knowledgeable practitioner with strong classroom management skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality teaching and learning. The school is looking for an individual who can inspire pupils, raise attainment, and foster a positive learning environment where all students can achieve their full potential.
This role is suitable for both UK-trained teachers with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and overseas-trained teachers with qualifications recognised as equivalent to UK teaching standards.

Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging Religious Education and Geography lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing clear feedback and targeted support. Maintain high expectations for behaviour, attendance, and achievement. Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment. Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils. Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents. Contribute positively to the wider life of the school.
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an overseas teaching qualification recognised as equivalent in the UK. Previous experience teaching Religious Education and/or Geography within a secondary setting. Experience teaching Key Stages 3 and 4. Strong classroom and behaviour management skills. Excellent communication and organisational abilities. A thorough understanding of the secondary curriculum. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. A professional, proactive, and reflective approach to teaching.
