Secondary Teaching Assistant - Dewsbury

Protocol Education is looking to recruit motivated and reliable Secondary Teaching Assistants to work within secondary schools across Dewsbury. This rewarding role offers the opportunity to support students' academic, social, and emotional development while gaining valuable experience in a school setting.

We are seeking individuals who are passionate about education and committed to making a positive difference in the lives of young people.

Key Responsibilities

Provide classroom support to teachers across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Work with individual students and small groups to enhance learning and engagement.
Support students with additional learning needs and help them overcome barriers to learning.
Assist with classroom management and behaviour support.
Encourage student confidence, independence, and participation.
Contribute to creating a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.

Requirements

Previous experience working with children or young people in an educational, mentoring, coaching, or support role is desirable.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A proactive, adaptable, and enthusiastic approach to supporting learning.
A genuine passion for education and student development.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
Right to work in the UK.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
