Section Engineer

Section Engineer - Civil Construction - Suffolk

We are looking for a motivated Section Engineer to join our team in Suffolk. This role is based on large infrastructure and road schemes, requiring a strong technical background and solid site experience to ensure successful project delivery.

As the Section Engineer, you'll be responsible for managing and supervising engineering activities on-site, ensuring works are carried out to design specifications, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and supervise engineering activities on-site, ensuring compliance with design specifications.
• Oversee setting out activities and ensure accuracy in line with project requirements.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project progress.
• Monitor construction progress, identify and resolve technical issues, and report to the Project Manager.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.

About You:

• Proven experience as a Section Engineer on civil engineering projects.
• Experience working on large infrastructure and road schemes.
• Strong setting out skills and experience with surveying equipment.
• Excellent knowledge of construction methods, materials, and best practices.
• Ability to read and interpret design drawings, specifications, and contracts.
• Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering.
