SIRA - Security & Information Risk - 12 month contract - outside IR35

Are you a savvy Security and Information Risk Advisor (SIRA) with a knack for safeguarding sensitive data?

Our public sector client in Edinburgh is looking for an additional SIRA consultant to join their busy team.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify potential security vulnerabilities.
Develop robust strategies and solutions to mitigate security risks and safeguard sensitive information.
Work closely with stakeholders to promote Information & Risk Services as well as ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
Implement effective security measures to protect data integrity and confidentiality.
Provide expert guidance and support on security-related matters to enhance organisational resilience.
Requirements:
Proven experience in Security and Information Risk Analysis, ideally within the public sector or similar environment.
In-depth knowledge of security frameworks, regulations, and compliance standards (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR, etc.).
Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex security challenges and propose practical solutions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders effectively.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM) would be preferred.
