Security Architect - AWS - Active Security Clearance Required

Inside IR35: £600 - £650 p/d
Hybrid - 1x a month in London

We're looking for a Security Architect with strong technical instincts and a proactive mindset to help shape secure solutions across digital services. Working within a collaborative and multidisciplinary team, you'll provide practical security guidance, contribute to the design of secure systems, and help ensure that risks are appropriately identified, communicated, and mitigated.

This is a hands-on role ideal for someone looking to deepen their skillset within a high-profile, public sector programme.

What You'll Be Doing

Designing secure system architectures that balance business objectives with risk
Advising delivery teams on security best practice throughout the development lifecycle
Supporting the development of reusable security architecture patterns
Reviewing technical solutions and offering constructive security input
Communicating risk and security concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersWhat We're Looking For

Experience applying structured analysis to solve real-world security challenges
Understanding of key security concepts, technologies, and architecture principles
Ability to communicate technical issues clearly and confidently to varied audiences
Knowledge of risk methodologies and how to apply them proportionately
Comfortable working collaboratively across delivery teams and stakeholders
Familiarity with designing or reviewing solutions for cloud, legacy, or hybrid environmentsNice to have

Understanding of Home Office or central government security processes
Knowledge of secure cloud platforms, landing zones, guardrails or core cloud services
Experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, container security or automated security controls
Only candidates based in UK and eligible to work in UK are allowed
