Security Engineer

We are supporting a leading independent provider of project engineering based in Redhill who are looking to add a Security Engineer to their growing team. This is a full-time permanent position.

Key responsibilities will include:

*

Developing information security plans and policies

*

Implementing protections and solutions to ensure and enforce the information security plans and policies

*

Centre of excellence for network and device security

*

Designing, building, testing, commission and troubleshoot security solutions (IDS/IPM/SIEM)

*

Writing and maintaining configuration/reconfiguration documentation, schematics, support guides and other documentation as required.

The Successful candidate will have:

*

Minimum of 5 years multi network exposure including hands on experience of designing and managing secure networks including:

*

Cisco Firewalls, Routers & Switches

*

Compliance Standards (ISO27001 and ITIL)

*

Security tools sets (SIEM, IDS/IPS)

*

Pen testing tools

*

Juniper platforms

*

Must hold, or have the ability to easily achieve SC Security Clearance

*

Excellent organisation with pro-active and can-do attitude

*

Excellent interpersonal skills with an eye for detail

Desirable:

*

Telecommunications background ideally with knowledge of satcom and/or maritime communications background.

*

UK MOD/Government networks experience.
