Job Vacancy: Security Engineer

Salary: Up to £32,000 per annum

Location: The Midlands and surrounding areas

About Us: Due to our continued expansion, we are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Security Engineer to join our team. This role is integral in providing an efficient, professional, and comprehensive service, installation, and commissioning of a wide variety of Intruder Alarm panels and CCTV systems across domestic, commercial, and industrial properties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Attend customer sites for scheduled appointments.
• Install both small and large Intruder Alarm, Access Control, and CCTV systems.
• Provide detailed onsite analysis of system issues and communicate these effectively to customers.
• Explain work undertaken and additional work requirements clearly to customers.
• Identify opportunities for system enhancements by understanding additional customer needs.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by maintaining a clean and tidy work environment.

Skills and Experience Required:

• Experience in the Security industry.
• ECS/CSCS Card with basic Health & Safety knowledge.
• Emergency First Aid at Work certificate.
• Awareness of British Standards for installation & maintenance.
• Solid working knowledge of Honeywell Galaxy and Texecom systems.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Enthusiasm and flexibility to work outside normal hours when necessary.
• Full driving license required for travel to customer sites.
• Competent in troubleshooting all types of systems.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and think on your feet.
• Personable with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of workmanship and a professional image.
• Customer service focused.

Duties:

• Install and maintain Intruder Alarm Systems, CCTV (IP and analogue), Access Control Systems, and other emergency systems.
• Participate in stand-by duty after normal working hours according to a rota.
• Responsible for the care and management of own and company tools and equipment.
• Assist management in controlling stock levels.
• Ensure products function consistently in specified operating environments.
• Stay updated with technological and regulatory developments; maintain professional and technical knowledge through training and toolbox talks.
• Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
