Security Guard

Job Description:

RSW are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Security Guard to join their client in the Cardiff area. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our premises, staff, and visitors. This role involves monitoring activities through CCTV and surveillance systems, responding to incidents, and implementing loss prevention strategies. The Security Guard will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of the property.

Hours and pay rate

6am to 6pm

£14 p/h plus £10 per shift KPI bonus

These roles will be temp to perm and will be discussed at interview stage

Responsibilities

* Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.

* Operate CCTV and surveillance equipment to ensure comprehensive coverage of the premises.

* Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, providing first aid when necessary.

* Conduct regular inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment to ensure safety compliance.

* Maintain accurate logs of daily activities, incidents, and any unusual occurrences.

* Collaborate with local law enforcement when required to report criminal activity or disturbances.

* Implement loss prevention measures to minimise theft or damage to property.

* Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors and staff while maintaining a professional demeanor.

Skills

* Proficiency in operating CCTV and surveillance systems is essential.

* Strong understanding of first aid procedures and emergency response protocols.

* Knowledge of loss prevention strategies and techniques is highly desirable.

* Excellent observational skills with the ability to remain alert at all times.

* Strong communication skills for effective interaction with staff, visitors, and law enforcement.

* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

* A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong attention to detail.

Working a 4 on 4 off basis

£14 p/h plus £10 per shift KPI bonus

Desirable to have Military trained background
