Security Lead

Summer-Browning Associates is assisting our client in the Central Government who is seeking a Security Lead for an initial 6-month assignment, with the possibility of extension.

Location: London | Hybrid

The ideal candidate will possess a security clearance and have a strong background in a senior security leadership role within a high-threat government environment.

The following skills and experience are required:

Experience in leading security programmes for large-scale cloud transformation within high-threat government Tier 2/3 secure environments.
A solid understanding of security strategy, policy, security architecture, and assurance.
Extensive knowledge of Azure/GCP cloud security, identity and access management (IAM), gateways, cryptography, and secure developer enablement.
Proven ability to guide, influence, and lead secure working practices.
Strong stakeholder management skills across government and multi-agency security.
Experience with Lead Accreditation and Security Case Development.
Demonstrable knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and standards, including the NCSC Cyber Assessment Framework, NIST, ISO 27001, CIS, CAF, HMG GovS 007, and NPSA.
Preferred Qualifications: Industry certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CISM, CEH, or GIAC are highly desirable.To apply, please submit your most recent CV for review
