Security Officer (DV Clearance)

📋We're looking for SIA-licensed Officers who are British Nationals with a UK residency of 10 years+, you must be committed to and able to undergo DV Clearance with our full support.

A full UK driving license with access to a vehicle is essential because some travel will be required across sites, covering the M4 corridor. As such you will need to be located between Bracknell, Swindon and Didcot areas to be eligible to apply for the role.

📍 Location: Bracknell, Swindon, Didcot - M4 Corridor 

💰 Pay: £20.00 per hour

📅 Hours: Monday to Friday - 48 hours per week (over 4 days). Working 07:00 to 19:00

Grade: Site Based

🚨Here’s what you’ll do:

• Conduct external and internal security patrols and conduct routine tests of security equipment.
• Accurately maintain all logbooks and records, ensuring all paperwork is completed in a timely fashion and conduct effective handover procedures.
• Record and report all faults, health and safety hazards and unsafe working practices to management.
• Monitor and escort visitors and staff within secure zones around the site. Keeping vigilant, ensure health and safety procedures are always followed.
• Display an outstanding level of customer service and the highest standard of personal presentation to maintain the image of Securitas and the customer.
• Undertake any other duties as requested by Management.

Essential criteria:

• Right to work in the UK with a 5-year checkable history.
• Hold British Nationality and have lived in the UK for the last 10 years (due to the nature of clearance required for this site).
• Valid, current SIA license.
• Full UK driving license with access to a vehicle (and willing to travel between sites mentioned above).
• Demonstrate full dedication and commitment to engaging in and completing the thorough DV clearance process.
• No current criminal convictions.
• Prior experience as a Security Officer in the security industry.
• Proficient in report writing to document incidents and reports clearly and accurately.
• Proficient in both speaking and written English, and the ability to convey information to a third party in a concise manner.
• Good attention to detail and have a fair knowledge of IT and access control systems.
