Job Description

Your Mission:
Working in a business critical role with our Security Team, the Security Vetting Assistant will play a vital role in onboarding and ensuring security clearance for all staff and contractors.
Location: Blackburn (preferred), Derby, or Sunderland with hybrid working (2/3 days in the office).
Key Responsibilities:
Process vetting applications for staff and contractors.
Provide support and advice on all types of vetting.
⏳ Monitor existing clearances and ensure timely renewals.
Advise on policy changes related to vetting.
Liaise with external agencies for security clearances.
Manage personnel security risks with thorough checks.
Act as the main contact for vetting and security inquiries.
Support incident reporting and follow-up actions.
Assist with internal and external vetting audits.
Provide vetting info for security reports.
Issue site access passes to staff.
Collaborate with other teams for timely onboarding.

Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Previous experience in a similar vetting role.
