Job Title: Self-Employed Mortgage & Protection Advisor

Location: Manchester Hybrid - 1-2 days WFH

Salary: OTE £70,000 - £100,000

Hours: Monday to Friday 9 am to 5.30 pm

About the position - Self-Employed Mortgage & Protection Advisor:

We're looking for an experienced Self-Employed Mortgage & Protection Advisor to join a high-performing team in Manchester.

This is a fantastic opportunity to put your financial services expertise to work in a role where you'll guide clients through the mortgage process, providing expert, personalised advice to help them make informed decisions.

Ideally, CeMAP qualified with Competent Adviser Status (CAS), you'll have a proven track record in a similar role and a passion for delivering outstanding client service. In return, you'll be joining Salford's largest estate agency, giving you:

• A steady stream of high-quality, pre-qualified leads booked directly into your diary
• Full admin and back-office support so you can focus on advising
• Clear progression opportunities, including potential to move into management

Earnings:

• 45% commission on leads provided
• 75% commission on self-generated business

Responsibilities required for the role of Self-Employed Mortgage & Protection Advisor:

• Working closely with a busy estate agent, dealing with pre-qualified mortgage leads
• Assess clients' financial situations to identify suitable mortgage options
• Provide expert advice on "whole of market" mortgage products
• Providing tailored protection advice including life, critical illness, and income protection
• Liaising with lenders to facilitate/expedite the approval process, offering regular updates to clients
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and recommendations
• Working closely with our in-house financial advisor, offering an additional service to clients if required
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends and changes in mortgage regulations
• Working with attention to detail, maintaining high compliance standards under FCA guidelines

Experience required for the role of Self-Employed Mortgage & Protection Advisor:

• Proven track record within a similar role
• CeMap qualified, ideally with CAS status
• Results driven, able to find solutions
• Customer focused, with excellent communication skills
• Keen eye for detail
• Pro-active and motivated approach
