We're working on behalf of a well respected specialist school that supports students aged 8-13 with Complex SEMH. The school are looking for 2 SEMH Learning Support Workers to join the team ideally for as soon as possible.

All students have EHCPs and have encountered challenges in mainstream or other educational settings. The schools main focus is to re-engage these students in education, focusing on a relational approach.

The role

As an LSW you will be expected to establish and maintain relationships with individual pupils, providing them support across the school within and outside the classroom. You will also be expected to support the teachers in school with maintaining the learning environment they've created. 

Successful LSW's at the school will be enthusiastic, patient and understanding, as well as having a good sense of humour! They will also have the confidence to work independently and have excellent communication skills. Due to the needs of the students, it is important that you have had experience working with SEMH and feel confident managing challenging behaviour.
