Semi Senior

A well regarded firm of Chartered Accountants based in Ripon is seeking a dedicated Semi-Senior to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual looking to advance their career in accountancy. Full study support is provided with day release and a clear pathway for progression.

The Role:

This full-time, office-based position offers a varied and hands-on workload within the accounts team, including:

• Preparing accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and small limited companies
• Assisting in the preparation of personal, partnership, and corporation tax returns
• Bookkeeping duties and VAT return preparation
• Supporting senior team members with more complex assignments
• Ongoing training and professional development opportunities

The ideal applicant will have:

• 1 to 2 years of experience within an accountancy practice
• Ideally be working towards an AAT qualification (study support provided)
• Experience preparing accounts for both incorporated and unincorporated businesses
• Some knowledge of tax, with familiarity in SAGE, Xero, QuickBooks, and preferably IRIS
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively
