This leading and well-established independent accountancy firm in Lancaster is looking for an enthusiastic Semi Senior Accountant to join their forward-thinking team.

The successful candidate will be ambitious, career oriented and an outstanding communicator.

Job Purpose

• Preparation of statutory and management accounts for a range of clients.
• Preparation of year-end financial statements.
• Assisting with corporate and personal tax planning work.
• VAT returns.
• Basic audit duties.
• Bookkeeping.
• Liaising with HMRC.
• Supporting clients with cloud-based accounting software.
• Confidently liaise with clients, supporting with queries and building trusted relationships.
• Working closely with senior team members, handling duties as required.

Job Requirements

• AAT qualified and possibly studying towards ACCA, ACA or CA.
• At least 2 years of accountancy practice experience.
• Audit experience is desirable but not essential.
• A positive, can-do attitude to problem-solving.
• A confident and supportive approach to mentoring.
• A team player who is eager to learn from an experienced team.
• Sound communication skills.
• Committed to delivering the highest quality service.
