Semi Senior Accountant

A well-established and growing accountancy practice based in Maidstone is seeking an Accounts Semi Senior to join their successful and supportive team. As part of a close-knit and collaborative team, you will play a hands-on role in the delivery of accounting services to a mix of sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies. The position offers progression in both responsibility and client involvement as your experience develops within the firm.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation of annual accounts, tax computations, VAT returns, and management accounts
  

• Bookkeeping for a varied client base
  

• Supporting clients across a range of sectors including OMBs, charities, and SMEs
  

• Gradually increasing client contact and responsibilities as you progress
  

Requirements:

• A minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in an accountancy practice environment
  

• Background in preparing accounts, tax returns, management accounts, bookkeeping, and/or VAT returns for a mixed client portfolio
  

• AAT qualified or currently studying, or ACA/ACCA part-qualified, or qualified by experience
  

• Strong communication skills and a proactive, professional approach
