Semi Senior Accountant

Accounts Semi-Senior / Accountant – AAT Level 4+ | Practice | Exeter

We’re currently recruiting for an experienced Accounts Semi-Senior or Accountant with at least 2 years of practice experience and AAT Level 4 (or equivalent). This is a client-facing role offering a varied workload and clear progression within a supportive team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accounts for sole traders, partnerships & limited companies

• Produce statutory financial statements from source records

• Submit VAT returns and maintain client books

• Prepare corporation tax computations

• Assist with management accounts and support client queries

• Supervise junior team members and provide support to managers

• Communicate with clients and HMRC where needed

Skills & Requirements:

• AAT Level 4 (or equivalent)

• Practice experience (min. 2 years)

• Proficient in Xero, Sage, and QuickBooks

• Strong communication, organisation, and client relationship skills

• Able to manage workload effectively and support junior colleagues
