Join a highly respected accountancy practice based in Hertfordshire as an Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with at least two years of experience in an accountancy practice to join a growing team. You will work with a varied portfolio of clients, contributing to the firm's success in accounts, tax, advisory, and audit services.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Prepare and present complete accounts files to the accounts manager for review, covering sole traders, partnerships, and corporate entities.
• Prepare basic business tax and personal tax computations.
• Assist with compliance tasks such as KYC and AML checks.
• Train juniors and assist with their queries.
• Directly handle tasks as requested by partners or the accounts manager.
• Prepare VAT returns and liaise directly with clients.
• Review and implement client bookkeeping systems.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• ACA/ACCA part-qualified or AAT qualified.
• 2-3 years of practice experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Experience with accounting packages such as IRIS, Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, etc.
• Strong Excel, Word, and Outlook skills.
• Excellent customer service approach and interpersonal skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Flexible and adaptable attitude, able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to recover all chargeable time regularly.
