Semi Senior Accountant

We are seeking a Semi-Senior Accountant to join our fast-growing practice. Recognised for our exceptional customer service and technical expertise, we are looking for an individual with substantial accounting knowledge and excellent interpersonal skills to uphold our high standards and contribute to our forward-thinking team.

• Preparing VAT, CIS returns, interim management accounts, and annual statutory accounts for a diverse client base including SMEs, OMBs, and HNWIs.
• Producing fully reconciled trial balances from incomplete records using Sage and Excel.
• Communicating complex accounting principles in an understandable manner to clients, many of whom have limited accounting knowledge.
• Building and maintaining long-standing client relationships through excellent service.
• Supervising and reviewing the work of accounts assistants and contributing to the development of less experienced team members.
• Managing workflow, ensuring all work is completed on time and within budget.
• Performing company secretarial duties for clients, including annual returns and share matters.

• Recognised accountancy qualification or qualified by experience.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience within a UK general accountancy practice environment.
• Proficiency in Sage Line 50 and Excel; experience with QuickBooks and VT is advantageous.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Outstanding organisational skills with the ability to work to deadlines and manage a diverse portfolio of clients.
• Leadership qualities and the ability to work efficiently to meet targets and deadlines.
