Semi Senior Accountant- – Accountancy Practice

Hyde Accountancy is a growing UK accountancy practice based in Harlow, providing accounting, tax and business advisory services to a wide range of clients including SMEs, property investors and international businesses.

Due to business growth, we are looking for an experienced Mandarin speaking accountant to join our team.

Duties

* Prepare and maintain accurate financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms.

* Prepare statutory accounts for limited companies

* Reconcile bank statements and ensure all transactions are correctly recorded.

* Handle VAT returns

* Prepare self assessment tax returns

* Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and internal policies.

* Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on financial procedures.

* Liaise with HMRC and Companies House

* Support clients with accounting and tax related queries

* Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information at all times.

Qualifications

* Proven experience as an Accountant within a financial services environment or similar sector.

* Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or equivalent systems.

* Good knowledge of UK accounting and tax compliance

* Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

* Experience preparing limited company accounts

* Mandarin speaking is desirable but not essential.

* Effective mentoring skills with the ability to support team development.

* Relevant qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent are highly desirable.
