Semi Senior Practice Accountant

Salary £30,000- £38,000 dependant on experience + Benefits

Full time – Flexible hours and some remote working

Due to expansion our client for a qualified senior accountant to join their growing and friendly team. They have a strong ethos around staff well-being and customer service and they are looking for someone who will share this outlook and grow and develop with the practice. The firm is small but innovative and fast growing with a family feel. They are looking for someone who will be proactive with clients and be able to manage junior members of the team

There are bonuses in place including a profit share and there are opportunities to become a partner within the next 5 years

Clients are all SMEs who appreciate the more personal touch, they range from start-up businesses to companies of around £10 million turnover, from varying sectors.

Key responsibilities but not limited to:-

• Preparation of accounts and Corporation Tax Returns
• Personal Tax Returns and Tax advice
• Giving strategic tax advice to clients
• Preparation of management accounts for clients
• Answering client queries and client meetings
• Assisting junior members of the teams with their queries
• Attending networking and other events
• Scheduling work for the rest of the team
• Managing own portfolio of clients

• Excellent time keeping and organisation
• Excellent communication and the ability to instil confidence in clients
• Experience of SAGE, XERO and ideally a variety of accounts software
• Ability to work in a busy environment and meet multiple deadlines required
• Previous Practice experience required.
• Enthusiasm for self -development and gaining a range of experience

Hours

• 5 days per week
• 1 day per week remote working
• Flexi-time available
