Semi Skilled Prepper/Panel Beater

Very successful independent bodyshop based in Southend on Sea, Essex area are recruiting for a Semi-Skilled Prep Hand / Panel Beater. £35,000 - £40,000 basic salary dependent on skills/experience. Working Monday to Friday 8am-6pm with alternate Saturday mornings.

This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in vehicle body repair and preparation who is looking to develop their skills further within a friendly and professional independent body shop. You will be working as part of their small friendly team, assisting with the preparation and repair of vehicles following accident damage.

This role would suit someone who is currently working as a Prepper, Semi-Skilled Panel Beater, Body Repairer or experienced Body Shop Assistant and is looking to progress their career. Duties will include:

* Preparing vehicles for repair and paint

* Carrying out minor panel repairs

* Filler work

* Removing and fitting vehicle panels and trims

* Carrying out filling, sanding and preparation work

* Ensuring vehicles are prepared to a high standard before painting

* Identifying additional damage and reporting any issues

* Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe working area

* Working efficiently to meet repair deadlines and quality standards .

* Permanent position within an established independent body shop

You will need:

* Experience in vehicle preparation and/or panel beating

* Good attention to detail and pride in their workmanship

* A willingness to learn and develop their skills

* The ability to work independently and as part of a team

* Good understanding of vehicle body repair processes
