Worcester - Full-time, Permanent (In office 5 days a week)
Salary: £31,000 – £36,000 (DOE) & progression

We’re working with a well-established and growing accountancy practice based in Worcester that’s looking to welcome a capable and motivated Semi-Senior Accountant to its team.

This is a great opportunity for someone studying AAT, ACCA or ACA (or QBE), who is looking to build on their experience in a client-facing role with exposure to a wide variety of businesses.

You’ll be supported by a friendly and experienced team, working with a portfolio of different clients while gaining valuable experience in statutory accounts, tax returns, and client communication.

This would be a great opportunity for a Semi Senior Accountant to join a family feel team in Worcester.

Semi Senior Accountant Role:

• Preparing year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
• Assisting with personal and corporation tax returns
• Supporting bookkeeping and VAT return preparation
• Liaising directly with clients to gather information and resolve queries
• Supporting senior staff on ad-hoc advisory and planning projects
• Assisting with management accounts preparation where required
• Working closely with colleagues and supporting junior team members

Semi Senior Accountant Profile:

• AAT qualified / ACCA or ACA part-qualified / or qualified by experience
• Previous experience within a UK accountancy practice (min. 2 years ideally)
• Comfortable preparing accounts to trial balance
• Familiar with tax computations and VAT
• Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
• Experience with accounting software (e.g. Xero, Sage, QuickBooks)
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn and take ownership
