Semi-Skilled Production Operative

We are working with a well-established UK-based manufacturer, renowned for producing high-performance systems and components for a range of sectors including marine, offshore, defence, power generation, and heavy industry. Due to an internal promotion, the company is now seeking a Semi-Skilled Production Operative to join their skilled production team. This is a great opportunity for someone with hands-on experience in a manufacturing or engineering setting who takes pride in high-quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare fabricated assemblies for final assembly or painting (marking out, drilling, fettling, polishing, and washing)
• Operate powered hand tools (grinders, polishers, drills, etc.)
• Use jet washers and steam cleaners to clean large fabricated products
• Work accurately and efficiently in line with quality control procedures
• Maintain a safe, clean and well-organised work environment
• Follow all health and safety policies and procedures
• Carry out any other reasonable tasks as required

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment
• Skilled in using hand and power tools
• Physically fit and capable of manual handling
• Ability to follow technical drawings, instructions, and job sheets
• Excellent attention to detail
• Forklift or lifting/handling certification is desirable
