Are you a passionate and resilient PE Teacher looking for a new challenge this September? Are you interested in specialist education?

A nurturing and inclusive SEN school in Reading are seeking a PE Teacher to join their team in September. The school caters for students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, as well as autism, ADHD and trauma. The school offers a therapeutic learning environment, with small class sizes, high staff-to-student ratio, and a holistic approach to education.

The Role:

• Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons, tailored to meet the needs of students with SEMH needs.
• Promote physical activity, teamwork, confidence and resilience through sport and movement.
• Work in collaboration with teaching and pastoral staff to create a safe, nurturing learning environment.
• Manage challenging behaviour with a calm, encouraging and trauma-informed approach.
• Scope to teach other subjects, such as PSHE.

The Ideal PE Teacher:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience working with SEN or SEMH.
• Passion for sport and physical wellbeing.
• Strong behaviour management skills.
• Ability to work across different Key Stages.
