About the Role
Simply Education are excited to be working with a specialist primary SEND setting in Smallfield, supporting pupils aged 6-11 with communication difficulties linked to Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC).
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Primary Teacher to deliver high-quality, personalised teaching within a supportive and creative learning environment. Many pupils are working significantly below their chronological age, making a strong understanding of KS1 and early KS2 particularly valuable.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging, structured lessons across a broad and creative curriculum. Develop personalised learning plans that meet students' educational, physical and social needs. Set, monitor and review individual learning targets. Assess, track and report on student progress. Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to support individual needs. Contribute to EHCP, PEP and LAC reviews where appropriate. Develop your knowledge of autism and associated learning needs to inform effective teaching. Promote positive, non-confrontational approaches to behaviour and support students who may display challenging behaviours. Maintain high standards of safeguarding and child protection.What We're Looking For
QTS is essential. Experience teaching across a range of subjects. Experience working with pupils with ASD, SEMH and/or PDA profiles. Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures. Experience managing a range of behaviours and using positive behaviour approaches. A creative, patient and child-centred approach to teaching. Strong communication and teamwork skills.Why Apply?
