Enrich Education Recruitment is working with a welcoming 1-form-entry primary school in North Finchley seeking an EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant to support children within its Nursery and Reception provision.
The school is looking for someone with a real interest in both Early Years and SEN, particularly supporting younger children with autism, communication difficulties and emerging speech and language needs.
This would suit an experienced SEN TA, Early Years Practitioner or Nursery Practitioner who understands how to combine structured SEN support with play-based EYFS learning.
The Role
Working alongside the EYFS teacher, SENCO and support staff, you will:
*
Support children with ASD and communication needs
*
Provide 1:1 and small-group SEN support
*
Use visual timetables and now-and-next strategies
*
Encourage speech, communication and interaction
*
Support learning through structured play
*
Help children manage transitions and routines
*
Support early phonics, language and number
*
Develop confidence, social skills and independence
About You
We're particularly interested in candidates with EYFS, Nursery or SEN experience.
Experience with ASD, PECS, Makaton, visual communication, speech and language interventions or sensory strategies would be particularly valuable.
You'll need to be warm, patient and engaging, while providing the consistency and structure that children with additional needs require.
The School
This is a friendly 1-form-entry primary school with a close-knit staff team and an inclusive approach to supporting children with additional needs.
The smaller school environment means staff get to know the children well, with Teaching Assistants working closely alongside the EYFS teacher and SENCO. It's a great setting for someone who enjoys being part of a supportive, community-focused school team.
Located in North Finchley, the school has good transport links from Finchley, Whetstone, Barnet, Woodside Park, Mill Hill and surrounding areas, with Northern line and local bus connections nearby.
Enrich Education Recruitment is committed to safeguarding children. All successful applicants will be subject to relevant compliance checks, including an Enhanced DBS, right-to-work checks and satisfactory references.
