About the role:
We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant with a specialism in Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) to join our passionate team. This full-time, long-term position is available due to the expansion of our SEN department to better meet the needs of our growing student population.
Application Requirements:
- Have previous experience supporting children with SEMH in an educational setting.
- Possess strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and staff.
- Demonstrate empathy, patience, and resilience in supporting students with diverse needs.
Key Responsibilities:- Implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies.
- Supporting classroom activities and ensuring students stay engaged and on task.
- Monitoring and reporting on student progress, communicating effectively with teachers and parents.
- Promoting a positive learning environment that fosters independence and self-esteem.
