Job Description - SEN Teacher

Role: SEN Teacher

Start Date: September

Role: Full-Time | Permanent
Location: Reading

Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging, high-quality teaching within the School's SEN provision
  • Collaborate in shaping the School's development strategy and continuous improvement
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to teaching assistants and support staff
  • Recommend appropriate SEN-specific resources and strategies to the Head of Education
  • Lead training sessions to support staff development in SEN practice
  • Embody and promote the School's values across the classroom and School community

What You'll Need
  • QTS, PGCE or a relevant equivalent qualification
  • Up-to-date knowledge of SEN policies, frameworks, and curriculum adaptations
  • Proven experience in a collaborative, multidisciplinary School environment
  • Strong coaching and mentoring skills for supporting School staff
  • Proficiency in planning, assessment, and progress monitoring
  • Experience supporting learners with ASD, communication needs, or behavioural challenges
