Are you a nurturing, resilient and skilled SEN practitioner ready to make a profound difference in the lives of pupils with complex needs? Teach Now is looking for an experienced SEN Teacher to join a welcoming North London primary school with a dedicated alternative provision that offers personalised support for pupils who benefit from small -group, specialist -led environments.
This unique role involves teaching 6–10 pupils at a time across a range of year groups, supported by one or two experienced teaching assistants depending on the group size and needs. Pupils present with a variety of SEND profiles—including ASD, SEMH, communication needs and more complex challenges—requiring a teacher who is adaptable, patient and committed to inclusive practice.
Your Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and deliver highly differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs
• Create, implement and review IEPs with clear, targeted outcomes
• Work collaboratively with TAs, therapists and external professionals
• Support behaviour regulation and foster emotional wellbeing
• Communicate regularly with parents and contribute to EHCP processes
• Maintain accurate records, monitoring progress and provision
• Provide personal care where necessary (training provided)
