Job Title: SEND Teacher (QTS)

Location: Gateshead
Start Date: 24th August
Salary: £180 - £220 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a fantastic full SEND school in Gateshead that provides specialist education for children and young people aged 5 to 20 years with a range of additional needs and disabilities. The school is committed to creating a nurturing, inclusive environment where every student is supported to develop independence, confidence and the skills needed to achieve their full potential.

The school is looking to appoint a permanent SEND Teacher (QTS) from 24th August. The successful SEND Teacher will deliver high-quality lessons across a range of subjects, providing general classroom cover while adapting learning to meet the individual needs of pupils with a variety of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. This role requires an experienced SEND Teacher with a strong understanding of supporting children and young people with complex needs and disabilities.

The successful SEND Teacher (QTS) will have:

QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
Extensive experience working within a UK SEND school
Proven experience supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, including complex needs
Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
The ability to deliver engaging, differentiated lessons across a range of subjects
A patient, compassionate and adaptable approach to teaching
