SEN Teaching Assistant

SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant - Middleton

Romano Education is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a pupil with Autism in a primary school in Middleton. This is a full-time role starting in the Summer Term.

Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 support for a pupil with Autism

• Support with structured routines and communication strategies

• Collaborate with the SENCO and class teacher to implement support plans

• Build positive and trusting relationships

• Encourage participation and progress in the classroom

Teaching Assistant Requirements:

• Experience supporting pupils with Autism or additional needs

• A calm, consistent and supportive approach

• Strong understanding of SEN strategies

• Level 2/3 TA qualification (desirable)

Job Details:

• Position: SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant

• Location: Middleton

• Start Date: Summer Term

• Contract Type: Full-time, Temporary

• Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am - 4pm

• Pay Rate: £15.94 per hour
