Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Here at Aspire People, we are on the lookout for a qualified and experienced SEN TA to join a nurturing and forward-thinking Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Northamptonshire, dedicated to supporting pupils with a range of additional needs including autism, speech and language difficulties, and moderate to severe learning difficulties.

The Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic, patient, and committed Qualified Teaching Assistant who is available from September 2025. You will work closely with class teachers and other professionals to support individual and small-group learning, promote positive behaviour, and help pupils achieve their personal and academic goals.

Key Responsibilities:
* Provide tailored support to pupils with a range of SEN needs
* Assist with classroom activities, planning, and resource preparation
* Support pupils in developing social, emotional, and communication skills
* Work 1:1 and in small groups to reinforce learning and engagement
* Promote a positive and inclusive school culture

What We're Looking For:
* A recognised Teaching Assistant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning)
* Experience working with children or young people with SEN
* A compassionate and proactive approach to supporting learning
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* A calm, resilient attitude and ability to adapt to different needs

Desirable:
* Team Teach or equivalent behaviour training
* Knowledge of PECS, Makaton, or other communication systems
