A friendly and inclusive primary school in North West London (Harrow) is looking for a skilled SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Year 2 pupil with ASD, ADHD, and oppositional defiance.

About the Role:
You’ll work closely with the class teacher, SENCo, and pastoral team to provide structured, consistent support tailored to the pupil’s individual needs. Your day -to -day will include:
• Building trust and rapport to help the pupil engage confidently in learning.
• Implementing behavioural, emotional, and sensory strategies that promote focus and self -regulation.
• Supporting transitions, social interactions, and emotional expression throughout the school day.
• Encouraging independence, resilience, and positive communication.
• Working collaboratively with staff and parents to ensure consistency and progress.
The Ideal Candidate:
• Has experience supporting children with ASD, ADHD, ODD, or emotional/behavioural needs.
• Confident in applying de -escalation and positive behaviour management strategies.
• Ideally holds Team Teach or similar training (or open to completing it).
• Calm, nurturing, and adaptable — able to respond thoughtfully to challenges.
• A strong communicator and reliable team player with excellent initiative.
