TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream Primary School in Derby with a dedicated SEN hub supporting children across EYFS and Key Stage 1 / KS1. The provision supports non-verbal children with additional needs and is looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant who can provide consistent and individualised support.

The school is looking to take on an SEN Teaching Assistant on a full-time, long-term basis, starting ASAP and continuing until July 2027. The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will support children within the SEN hub, helping with communication, engagement, learning activities and their individual needs throughout the school day.

The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience supporting children with SEN
• Experience working within EYFS and Key Stage 1 / KS1
• Experience supporting non-verbal children
• A good understanding of supporting individual learning and communication needs
• A patient, caring and adaptable approach
• The ability to work effectively as part of a school team
