Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant or Support Worker looking for a rewarding, long-term opportunity?
We’re recruiting for a specialist primary SEN setting in Esher, supporting pupils with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Autism and associated complex needs.
⚠️ Strong SEN experience is essential for this role. We’re looking for candidates with proven experience supporting children or young people with complex SEN needs, who are confident providing both educational and personal support.
The Role
Full-time, Monday–Friday, long-term position
Support primary-aged pupils with SLD, Autism and associated complex needs
Provide 1:1 and small-group support tailored to individual needs
Support learning, communication and sensory regulation
Assist with personal care where required
Encourage independence, engagement and positive behaviour
Adapt activities and communication approaches to suit individual pupils
Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils
Work closely with teachers and the wider SEN team
We’re Looking For
Strong previous SEN/support worker experience is essential
Proven experience supporting pupils with Autism and complex learning difficulties
Experience working with children or young people with significant additional needs
Confidence supporting with personal care
Good understanding of communication, sensory and behavioural needs
Calm, patient, proactive and resilient approach
Ability to build positive and trusting relationships
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Full-time availability
