SEN Teaching Assistant

One of our partnership SEN Provisions in Cheadle are looking for SEN Teaching Assistants to take on full time roles working with children with special educational needs including:

Autism
Sensory impairments including hearing and visual impairments
Physical disabilities
Down Syndrome
In this role as an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

Support the class teacher in the delivery of creative and engaging lessons and sensory activities
Support children on a 1:1 and small group basis.
Engage with children and help them to reach their full potential.
Support in the assessment of children’s learning and development to update EHCP plans
The ideal SEN Teaching Assistant will have:

Lots of patience and a calm personality
Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs in a school/care setting or through personal experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Full time availability within school hours (8:30-3:30/4:00pm)
Child and Adult DBS checks (This can be applied for through Teaching Personnel)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
