SEN Teaching Assistant - Bath

Pay: £94 - £105 per day (based on experience)
Contract: Full-Time

A specialist SEN provision in Bath is seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to join their team from September. This full-time opportunity is ideal for individuals passionate about supporting students with social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH), autism (ASC), and ADHD across both primary and secondary phases.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the delivery of tailored learning plans for students with SEMH, ASC, and ADHD.
• Provide 1:1 and small group support to help students engage with learning and develop key life skills.
• Implement behaviour management strategies that foster a positive and inclusive environment.
• Assist students with building social and emotional resilience through structured interventions.
• Work closely with class teachers, therapists, and external professionals to deliver consistent and individualised support.
• Help prepare resources and contribute to the daily organisation of the classroom.
• Support in tracking progress and providing feedback to inform next steps.
• Uphold high standards of safeguarding and student welfare at all times.

What We’re Looking For:

Essential:

• Experience supporting young people with SEN and SEMH
• Strong communication skills and a calm, patient approach
• Comfortable managing challenging behaviour
• Committed to building trusting relationships and encouraging student independence

Desirable:

• Experience in SEN or alternative provision settings
• Background working across primary or secondary phases
• Familiarity with trauma-informed practice or therapeutic approaches
