Position Overview:

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with diverse learning needs, helping them to achieve their full potential. You will work closely with teachers, parents, and specialists to provide tailored support, ensuring a positive and inclusive learning environment. This position is ideal for someone who is compassionate, patient, and dedicated to making a real difference in the lives of young learners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one and group support to students with SEN, following individual education plans (IEPs).


• Support students in developing social, emotional, and academic skills.


• Help with classroom management, including preparing resources and organizing learning activities.


• Attend training sessions and professional development workshops to stay updated on best practices in SEN support.


• Collaborate with other professionals, including speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and educational psychologists, to provide holistic support.

Requirements:

• A relevant qualification in Education, Childcare, or SEN support (e.g., CACHE Level 3, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent).


• Previous experience working with children with SEN in a school or educational setting.


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.


• An understanding of various learning difficulties, such as autism, dyslexia, ADHD, and speech and language impairments.


• The ability to work effectively as part of a team and use initiative when needed.
