SEN Teaching Assistant - Flexible Absence Cover

Do you have experience supporting young people with special educational needs? Are you looking for flexible work, with the option to work every day? We are recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to cover staff absences at a specialist secondary school in Bury. The school supports young people aged 11–19 with a wide range of additional needs, including autism, communication difficulties and complex learning needs, through personalised learning pathways.

• Competitive daily pay rates in line with previous experience.
• Location: Bury, Greater Manchester.
• Experience supporting children or young people with SEN is essential.
• Flexible absence cover to suit your availability, with the option of working up to five days per week, subject to cover requirements.
• Supporting pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.
• A patient, adaptable approach and confidence supporting individual learning and communication needs.

You will work alongside teaching staff to help pupils access learning, develop independence and feel confident in the classroom. Whether you are available for a few days each week or would welcome everyday work, this is an opportunity to provide valuable, consistent support within a specialist setting.
